Selection of formulation raw materials, stability of finished product and suitability for purpose.

The applicability of surface science data and the instrumentation available to generate it within the petrochemical industry is extensive. The chemical properties of liquids common within this industry, specifically the low surface/interfacial tensions, provide a challenge for both the instrumentation manufactures and those subsequently entering this field of study.

The integrity of a multi liquid system is dependent on the interfacial properties of the components within the manufactured formulation. We will consider the specific requirements of your formulations, your industry and/or customers, along with the required stability of your samples(s) to determine which available technology will provide the most robust data: tensiometry (DataPhysics DCAT range) or optical (DataPhysics OCA and SVT ranges).

Ultimately it will be the combination of our experience, the quality of the instrumentation available and the care with which we guide users through the interpretation of early sample data that will ensure the maximum impact and return on your companies investment.
