History

The company was founded in 1920 as a technical precious stones dealer in the precious stones metropolis of Idar-Oberstein and sold agate mortars for production of "powders" to pharmacists and chemical laboratories.

By the mid-fifties, FRITSCH already numbered among the specialists in sample preparation laboratories. The first patented in-house development came in 1962 with the planetary mill. Further technical innovations followed.

The entrance into high-tech laser technology in the eighties was an important milestone producing: The laser particle sizer with convergent laser beam, the sieve shaker with self-resonance control as well as the planetary mono mill which followed in 1996.

The future

With the PULVERISETTE 7 premium line  as an extension to the existing classic line of planetary mills, FRITSCH offers a premium line generation for the first time. Previously unachieved rotation speeds are now possible, yielding ultra-fine grinding results down to the nano-range.

FRITSCH Mission Statement

70 employees advise customers throughout the world, working comprehensively to supply them with an application-oriented product range and provide customer-specific services. Roughly 85% of our sales of € 13 million were earned abroad, generally in combination with our effective sales partners, who offer application support, installation and technical services locally with trained personnel.

As an independent family company, we understand the benefits of a non-hierarchical management structure and ensure as much personal contact with our business partners as possible. To us, quality means satisfying the needs of our customers by supplying innovative and long-lasting products. To ensure achievement of our own strict quality standards, we develop and produce the products in-house to a large extent.

We strive for long-term employee retention and high levels of qualification among our employees. This enables us to meet the challenges of a quickly changing market. We are convinced that our core competence lies in the two product lines of instruments for sample preparation and particle size analysis, and we focus our efforts and innovation on these target markets accordingly.
