Gerhardt UK are happy to recommend Kern Moisture Balances as part of their analysis product range. Moisture analysis is an integral part of many raw and finished products and has a crucial influence on the quality of the product.

Moisture balances are used particularly in the food, water, plastics and the energy industries as well as in agriculture.

Determining moisture requires a great deal of experience. Depending on the type of sample and the task involved, various drying processes are used.

KERN has concentrated on the most widely-used drying method: halogen heating, which offers several advantages:

  • Even warming of the sample from above, without any risk of burning the surface of the sample.
  • Affordable prices ensure rapid return of investment.
  • Established temperature ranges from 35 - 200°C.
  • High measuring precision, up to 0.01 %.
  • Wide weighing range up to 160 g.
  • A variety of drying programs (gradual drying, standard drying, stage drying, preheating stage (Boost)).

The storage of drying programmes in KERN moisture balances is particularly useful, as they hold information on the complete drying process including, drying period, drying temperature, display settings, switch off criteria, etc... This is useful for GLP, saves an enormous amount of time and helps to achieve repeatable results.

Connection to a printer or to a computer via a bidirectional USB interface ensure accurate result recording for GLP.
