Kjeldatherm Digestion Systems KB8S with TR Controller
Turbotherm TT125 Infra-Red Digestion System
Traditional Kjeldahl Digestion System KI11/26
Traditionally soils, sediments, sludges, foods and other materials have been digested using Sulphuric acid in large round-bottomed flasks for Kjeldahl or Phosphate analysis. These were heated on heating mantles and notoriously took up a lot of room in the fume cupboard. In order to maximise the number of digestions in a given space, systems were designed to use tall straight digestion tubes in racks on a rectangular Aluminium hotplate - Kjeldatherm.
Further developments on heating led to the development of infrared heaters for faster heat up of the samples - Turbotherm. A greater range of tube sizes can be accommodated, however the system relies on the heater being in close proximity to the digestion tube and therefore limits the number of tubes in a system.
Gerhardt is unique in being able to offer all three solutions for digestion.
Gerhardt Kjeldatherm Aluminium Block Digestion Systems
Aluminium hotBlocks available for 100ml, 250ml and 400ml straight digestion tubes. Systems are designed to make efficient use of the space available and include accurate temperature controller. A programmable controller for time and temperature is also available.
Systems are sold complete with everything needed to start analysis immediately, except the chemicals. Click here for more information
Gerhardt Turbotherm Infra-Red Rapid Digestion Systems
Infra -Red heaters designed to get the system up to temperature within a couple of minutes and with the added benefit of a faster cool down for safety.
Available for a wide variety of digestion tubes including 100ml, 250ml, and 400ml and 800ml straight digestion tubes. Systems are designed to make efficient use of the space available and include accurate temperature controller. Built in programmable controller for time and temperature is also available. The programmable controller in combination with the fast heat up and cool down make the Turbotherm ideal for difficult materials prone to frothing at the early stages of digestion.
Traditional Kjeldahl Digestion Units
These units are designed for traditional digestions using serial flask heaters according to the Kjeldahl method. Systems available for 50-750 ml standard Kjeldahl flasks. Click here for more information
